An upcoming Franklin estate sale will feature items from the homes of multi-platinum country superstar Martina McBride and Grammy award winning pop-rock artist Sheryl Crow.

The sale, being held Sept. 9-13 at 2950 Del Rio Court in Franklin, will include furniture, decorative accessories, window treatments, cabinetry, artwork, books, vintage toys, chandeliers, mirrors, and more.

Among a few items featured at this estate sale are Martina McBride’s antique Waltham player piano, Brunswick billiard table and French carved king size bed, and a beautiful marble top chest and console table from Sheryl Crow.

I want to be honest here and say I’m not sure if I am going to open the gallery for this site. That does not mean I am closing the entire site or anything. I love this site. It’s just the last time I had so many issues ( I won’t go into details) and I really don’t want to deal with it again. If I do I may make it screencaptures only. I’ll post again to let you all know!

Fashionable country star Martina McBride likens selecting the just-right songs for her albums to choosing perfect frocks for her wardrobe.

“It’s like looking at a rack of 450 beautiful dresses. You know there’s gonna be four or five that fit you just perfectly and that are flattering and that make you feel good when you wear them. The other ones are beautiful, but they’re not right. If you need 10 dresses and you can only find four out of that first batch, then you have to wait for the next batch of dresses,” she said.

“So, it’s really just about waiting for the right fit to come along.”

The big-voiced songstress is touring in support of her 10th studio album, “Shine,” which debuted in spring at the top of the country charts. Her tour will bring her to Oklahoma for two shows this weekend: Friday at WinStar World Casino in Thackerville and Saturday at Buffalo Run Casino in Miami.

“We do a lot of the hits, and we’ll be playing a few songs from the new album ‘Shine,’ kind of showing people what that’s like. And it’s a pretty high-energy show, and, you know, it’s a lot of fun,” McBride said in a phone interview earlier this week from her Nashville, Tenn., home, where she had a rare day off from work but was busy around the house.

Kid Rock says he is hoping for a guest appearance by Martina McBride on his next album, which is tentatively slated for a summer 2010 release. He and McBride performed together during a nightly concert at the CMA Music Festival last month in Nashville. In an interview with the Detroit Free Press, Rock says that he would like to recruit either McBride or Mary J. Blige to sing on the chorus of a new song called “Care.” He is currently working on the album with producer Rick Rubin. “There’s very good rock-feeling stuff, very soulful stuff,” he told the Free Press. “I’m focusing on great melodies, really great American rhythm-and-blues, rock-’n'-roll-based stadium songs.”

Country mainstay Martina McBride is preparing for her first concerts in the United Kingdom and Ireland for some 15 years. The star tells Billboard.com that the dates will pave the way for a yet-to-be-announced American tour in November.

McBride, whose current, ninth studio album “Shine” (RCA/Sony Music Entertainment) reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums, will play London’s Indig02 July 31, then six shows in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland Aug 2-8. She says she made a conscious effort to schedule the European trip this time around.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been over there, probably ‘94 was the last time,” she reflects. “I’m looking forward to it, we made so many great memories last time I was there.

“I’ve got such a limited amount of time I can tour, with the kids and their schedules,” says McBride. She and her husband, sound engineer John McBride, have three daughters, now ages 14, 11 and four. “So finding the time to pull back from my touring here and make the trip was a challenge.

“But finally this year, we got offered these dates and I said ‘You know what, we hadn’t planned to tour this summer in the U.S. so it’s a perfect opportunity, and the perfect window for me to do it.’” RCA will release “Shine” in the United Kingdom July 27.
